Visual Arts

Visual Arts is offered at John Curtin College of the Arts as part of a unique arts infused curriculum and arts enrichment program.

About the program

Students develop their creative and artistic abilities in this exciting visual arts program. Your child will learn through a mix of visual inquiry, studio work, exhibition and critical and historical reflection.

Your child will explore and experiment with ideas including painting, glass, sculpture, textiles, graphics, printmaking and jewellery. Students also have the opportunity to participate in workshops conducted by professionals in the field including artists, designers, photographers and curators. Exhibitions and displays of student work are an integral component of the visul arts course.

Gallery visits, sketching excursions, tutor studio classes and exposure to new mediums and technologies are all part of the curriculum designed to help students develop their creative thinking and problem solving abilities.

The program is designed to enrich, extend and accelerate your child's learning.
